Our Company/History
In 1979, MIM Industries began operations in Miamisburg, Ohio. The
company began developing a niche in the sewn products industry producing
simple devices and attachments not made available by major equipment
manufacturers. By 1986, the customers' demand for these products
greatly increased, in turn MIM invested in its design and engineering
departments. MIM focused on supplying custom-designed sewing equipment
and automation for the automotive industry. As this industry developed,
so did MIM's ability to provide unique solutions for manufacturing.
By 1993, MIM's business had expanded worldwide for the airbag, safety
restraint, soft trim, and apparel / textile industries.
In 1994, MIM was acquired by Brother International Corporation,
a subsidiary of Brother Industries, LTD. MIM continued developing
products for the automotive industry but included new, technical
resources provided by Brother International.
MIM was not limited to Brother products. They were permitted to
offer products and equipment within their product line as well as
other equipment manufacturers.
The growth of MIM Industries, Inc. is based on developing strong
customer relationships. Our focus is to listen to the customer in
order to learn more about their opportunities and manufacturing
concerns. We are dedicated to the customer and to providing solutions
to help them become more successful. Strong customer relationships
provide a winning combination for the customer, MIM, and the industry
as a whole.
